Opportunity by Omission

Last week I bitched about having too many choices before me, and it appears the universe was listening. Okay - we both know I don’t really believe in that stuff; in this case by “the universe” I mean the mysterious and conniving underbelly of my subconscious who, in the face of stress, always seems happy block and tackle. The resulting selective sensory input frequently makes for the best stories. Case in point Sunday...

Go with the flow?

Loyal readers know, the past two years have brought about quite a bit of change - some I've initiated, some at the behest of others. Much to my delight, these changes always seem to arrive with a free gift: stress. This queen of compartmentalization managed to successfully box up, and set sail to these stress-ents for about 18 months. Unfortunately perpetual gift wrapping isn't without its own side effects; I got so good at preventing my stress bucket from overflowing, I failed to notice a dramatic shift in my professional landscape.
