Clean Screen

There I was, about to commence the writing of this week’s Sapient and my screen has some schmutz on it. So tactical Erin grabbed a tissue, licked it and cleaned off my screen. Lucas, the new guy, looked over at me horrified and clutching a monitor cleaning kit he retrieved from his bag and explained how he would have shared if I had only asked.

Beer Me!

I recently had the pleasure of discussing sales methodology with some of our Asian partners, where they explained how, like in many regions, their customer buy from people they trust. We went on to understand that a key factor in the decision making process was how a prospect viewed the relationship between themselves and the partner.

You Get the Idea

A long day of client meetings, trainings, and travel left Nestor and I slap happy and hungry. We sit down at this restaurant where a waitress with a keen interest in ensuring every food group, and by that I mean meat type, had equal representation on our private buffet tried to up-sell us from three to six entrees.

A Mexican Memoir

I arrived in Mexico to do a training last week and checked into the hotel just before sundown. Ordinarily this wouldn’t be a problem, but it appeared that all but two of the light bulbs in my room were burnt out, and neither of the functioning fixtures resided in the bathroom. Having severely underestimated the English fluency of Mexico City, instead of trying to invent a gesticulation for light bulb, I attempted to resolve this myself. Luckily for me no one nailed down the desk lamp, and, much to my delight, the outlet in the bathroom produced power. I deemed this solution “good enough” for three days and went to dinner.
